I finally have a swing of things to get back into...

So I got a job...score! It's a serving job, I waitress at Bravo! serving expensive Italian food to people who the economy has not apparently affected. Seriously, there is no "slow day" in this place, there are always people in there eating. Craziness. Anywho, I may not have the job of a college graduate's dreams, but I am nevertheless making money which is more than I can say for some people I know.

Let's see, what else is new...I live with my parents, which has reintroduced me to all kinds of house rules that I forgot how to follow. Things like, doing laundry more than once or twice a month; putting said clean laundry away instead of leaving it in a clean laundry pile; letting my parent's know when "I'll be home after work" accidentally becomes coming home hungover the next morning. But I will exchange the time spent on chores and phonecalls for living here rent free while I save up some money. I am truly grateful for my family...they don't even complain that I am here eating up resources, they are just happy to have me home and eager to see me succeed. It is awesome.

Other than that, the people I work with seem to kick ass. I think I have found my niche in the workplace as usual, being the outspoken and potentially inappropriate girl. I'm (surprise surprise) still single and not on the prowl for a relationship. I am however noticing distinctive differences in the environment change. Everyone my age is pregnant and married, pregnant but not married, or clammering to become one of the above. This makes me stick out ever so slightly, so I keep to my forced-celibate self and give the cold shoulder to any potential hook up, because the last thing I need is some guy thinking we're going to have a relationship. I never thought these words would escape my lips but I miss the freedom of college town culture. At least those douchebags aren't needy.

Stay happy :) Love everyone
