I got a job :) I work for Environment California doing fundraising and canvassing. I had NO idea I would ever get into something political, in fact, I hate politics. But this job is fun, the people I work with are fantastic, and once again I find myself in an occupation where I get to talk to strangers and wear a t-shirt every day. I don't think I have ever been cut out for growing up! It has been about five weeks on the job now and I have already been promoted from canvasser to field manager (aka glorified canvasser) and in May I am training to be the assistant director of the San Diego office. I am excited to say the least! A big girl job with a salary and benefits and I still get to come to work in a t-shirt every day :)
I have made friends out here, and I'm getting into a routine, and still every time I see the ocean or the sun set create a silhouette out of a palm tree I am awestruck. I don't see how things could get better but I know they will.
Also, something I find hilarious and interesting, Destiny and I have now been separated for an period of time that is entirely too long, and what do we both do? We go and "like" people. It is like having a long distance girlfriend that I am cheating on, I miss her terribly! We'll see what comes of this craziness but I know one thing, I haven't had a crush in a very very long time and I'm not too sure I like it.
